I was an apprentice from 1980-1984, I remained at Stanton until they told me to stop coming ... I'm now at British gypsum, in Barrow-upon-soar.
Another ex-apprentice also works with me ... Ian (Dafty) Daft.

I was a student apprentice 1973 -1978. I have fond memories of the training centres especially the foundry and the pattern shop. I remained with the company working in all departments of Iron Pipes. I was there to the last day of production and left with a few tears in my eyes along with a lot of other proud people.
I now work for Caterpillar trying to survive the difficult times that manufacturing are facing.
