i consider the work was heavy, hot, dangerous. best avoided at all costs

One of the classic examples of maintenance was a manager coming ing to the mess room asking why aren't you out there doing something! (PS, it was RUG)
OK you go and break something, then we'll fix it 
Maintenance is always the bain of production, if production would just go away we would have a plant running to perfection! Nothing going out the door, but running perfectly!
