Apperentices 1977 -1982 where are they now?

think phil has done a brilliant job with the site ... it has got me thinking about my formative years in the training centre ... where are we all now?

Not sure about where everyone has gone but I have recently included an artical under the stantonian section which talks about the training centre in 1954

I was an apprentice from 1980-1984, I remained at Stanton until they told me to stop coming ... I'm now at British gypsum, in Barrow-upon-soar.

Another ex-apprentice also works with me ... Ian (Dafty) Daft.

I was a student apprentice 1973 -1978. I have fond memories of the training centres especially the foundry and the pattern shop. I remained with the company working in all departments of Iron Pipes. I was there to the last day of production and left with a few tears in my eyes along with a lot of other proud people.

I now work for Caterpillar trying to survive the difficult times that manufacturing are facing.
